Quest Hero Bars

Flavors Tried: Cookies and Cream, Chocolate Coconut, Blueberry Cobbler

Yet To Try: Chocolate Caramel Pecan, Chocolate Peanut Butter

General Thoughts

Phenomenal taste, no doubt. Unlike regular quest bars, they're allulose sweetened and tend to be lower calorie. Some of them don't pass the protein/cal test, but none are far off... These are also much crispier, bigger, and don't fare as well in the microwave. They are slightly lower in fiber. Overall, very respectable and a delicious treat, but with a steep price.

Price

The price these tends to range from $2.5-3.5/bar - slightly more expensive than your average quest bar. 9/15.

Fullness Factor

I find these less satiating than quest bars, but that makes sense given their generally lower calorie and protein content. Adjusting for that, 13/15.

Flavors

Cookies and Cream

  • Nutrition: Among the best macros available for purchase (18P/150Cals), but slightly high on saturated fat (5g) and much lower on fiber than most quest bars (6g). 32/35.
  • Taste: This tastes phenomenal. Unlike a regular quest bar, I wouldn't recommend microwaving any of these (if you do it too long, they kinda explode). It's got a crispy texture that's hard to describe, but it's lovely! 31/35.

Chocolate Coconut

  • Nutrition: Solid but less than ideal macros (15P/160Cals), high saturated fat (6g), higher fiber (7g). 28/35.
  • Taste: This is spot on, I'm just not a huge coconut fan. I love it - I really do - but I get sick of it very very quickly. Personal biases aside, 25/35.

Blueberry Cobbler

  • Nutrition: Very similar to the chocolate coconut (16P/160Cals), except ever-so-slightly higher in protein, saturated fat, and notably higher in fiber (10g). 30/35.
  • Taste: I came into this with low expectations - Quest historically is not great with fruity flavors or white chocolate, but I was pleasantly surprised. Definitely tastes slightly artificial, but still, 30/35.
