General Thoughts

This is generally a brand I trust, though it hasn't been without its controversy. It is erythritol sweetened, which I like, and tends to have more-or-less clean ingredients. All the protein is very high quality, and these are excellent when microwaved (they inflate like a cake!). If it weren't for the steep price, these would be my staple. It's worth noting they had a controversy a few years ago over whether or not their IMO fiber counted as actual fiber, but as far as I know that's been resolved and nothing was ever proven. These also notably tend to be higher fat and keto friendly, if that's your thing, and they're all exceptional with their fiber content. Ever since the reformulation, these are much softer, but they are definitely a chewier bar (less dense than Pure Protein, think Kirkland style).

Price

The price these tends to range from $2-3/bar, with occasional sales on Amazon and Ebay knocking it down to closer to $1.5/bar. 10/15

Fullness Factor

I find these very satiating compared to most protein bars, probably due to the fiber, size (60g), and chewy texture. 14/15.

Flavors

Blueberry Muffin

  • Nutrition: Outstanding macros (20P/180Cals), quality protein, high fiber, and moderate sugar alcohols (6g erythritol). 31/35.
  • Taste: Blueberry muffin perfection! Scarily accurate, especially when heated. 30/35.
  • Overall: 85
Chocolate Brownie

  • Nutrition: Impeccable Macros (20P/170Cals), 1g sugar, 5g sugar alcohol, and a whopping 15g fiber. 33/35.
  • Taste: This tastes exactly like a brownie. They nailed this. Microwaved, I honest to god couldn't tell this apart from an actual brownie. 31/35.
  • Overall: 88

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

  • Nutrition: Solid macros (21P/190Cals), 1g sugar, 12g fiber, 6g sugar alcohols. Slightly worse than the brownie one, but still mad impressive. 30/35.
  • Taste: A staple flavor, divine when microwaved, but standard when eaten normally. 30/35.
  • Overall: 84

Oatmeal Chip Cookie

  • Nutrition: Similar deal (20P/180Cals) with macros, fiber (12g), sugar and sugar alcohols (1g and 5g respectively). 31/35.
  • Taste: This is a very unique flavor, and I like it a lot, it just gets boring fast. Still, it's they nailed the oatmeal flavor! 30/35.
  • Overall: 85

S'mores

  • Nutrition: Even better macros (21P/180Cals), high fiber, but slightly higher in sugar alcohols (7g). Still, very solid! 31/35
  • Taste: This is honestly not very different from cookie dough.  It's not bad, but for me it falls short on flavor accuracy. 28/35.
  • Overall: 83

Cookies and Cream

  • Nutrition: Worse, but still fantastic macros (21P/190Cals), high fiber, moderate sugar and sugar alcohols (12g, 1g, 5g respectively). 29/35.
  • Taste: Absolutely divine when microwaved, though again not the most accurate flavor (tastes nothing like an Oreo, as the packaging would have you believe). 30/35.
  • Overall: 83/10

Lemon Cake

  • Nutrition: At 20P/180Cals and 13g fiber, you really can't complain! That side, the 7g of sugar alcohols might be unsetting to some. 29/35.
  • Taste: Delicious change but not an everyday flavor. Doesn't quite hit the lemon meringue pie vibe. It does have a really pleasant, soft texture though - kinda like the birthday cake one. 26/35.
  • Overall: 79

White Chocolate Raspberry

  • Nutrition: This is incredibly similar to the cookie dough one. 29/35.
  • Taste: This is a very unique flavor, and props to them for trying, but this one just falls flat with me. I honestly don't like the way the raspberry interacts with the flavor - it tastes too artificial. Also, it gets worse, not better, when microwaved IMHO. 24/35
  • Overall: 77

Pumpkin Pie

  • Nutrition: At 20P/180Cals, the only things notable here are the 9g of sugar alcohols and the 5g of saturated fat (as opposed to 2.5-3.5 on most of their bars). 29/35.
  • Taste: This is absolutely divine, both cold and microwaved. It really is the shit. It almost tastes like it has a white chocolate layer on top, and it melts perfectly. 33/35.
  • Overall: 85/10

Peppermint Bark

  • Nutrition: Again, this one (21P/180Cals) notably has 7g sugar alcohols and 4g saturated fat. 30/35.
  • Taste: This is great for what it is. Definitely the best peppermint flavored protein bar I've had so far. There's just not a lot of potential for that flavor to me. Also, it doesn't really get better when microwaved. 27/35.
  • Overall: 81

Birthday Cake

  • Nutrition: Ridiculous macros (20P/180Cals), high fiber, but 9g sugar alcohols and 4g saturated fat. 30/35.
  • Taste: This is soft and chewy, unlike the other bars, and is again divine when microwaved. I honestly ate this on my birthday because the flavor was so accurate (even more birthday-cake like than most cakes!). 32/35.
  • Overall: 86/10

Apple Pie

  • Nutrition: Ridiculous macros (20P/170Cals), high fiber, but 9g sugar alcohols and 4g saturated fat. 30/35
  • Taste: This is like the Pumpkin Pie flavor, mixed with apple, on the lemon-cake texture. That's a really convoluted way of saying I liked it, but not as much as pumpkin pie. 29/10.
  • Overall: 83/10

Chocolate Peanut Butter

  • Nutrition: Still decent macros (20P/200Cals), high fiber, and modest sugar alcohols and saturated fat. 28/35.
  • Taste: I had really high hopes. This smelled EXACTLY like peanut butter, and it was a very potent smell coming out the microwave. By comparison the flavor was underwhelming. 28/35.
  • Overall: 80/10

Chocolate Sprinkled Donut

  • Nutrition: Very good macros (20P/180Cals), high fiber, and modest sugar alcohols and saturated fat. 29/35.
  • Taste: Not sure what I was expecting - this is soft (birthday cake texture), but not really super donut-y?? It definitely tastes like dough, if that makes sense. 27/35.
  • Overall: 80/10

Double Chocolate Chunk

  • Nutrition: Insane (20P/170Cals), high fiber, and modest sugar alcohols and saturated fat. 30/35.
  • Taste: This is brownie flavored, but worse. 27/35.
  • Overall: 81/10
