General Thoughts

These are new and good, but not nearly as good as their European and British counterparts (or so I've heard). Macros aren't great, and neither are ingredients. They've gotten better ever since the reformulation. I just wish they would bring their European products to the US...

Flavors

Snickers Hi-Protein USA

  • Price: These typically run from $2-3 per bar (even at Walmart), making them slightly on the expensive end. 11/15.
  • Fullness Factor: I find these moderately, but not exceptionally filling, which is honestly underwhelming given the macros. They are low fiber, but higher in fat (which should in theory make them more satiating). 10/15.
  • Nutrition: At 20P/240Cals, these fail the test. They are also moderate in saturated fat (5g) and sugar (4g). If you care about how clear your ingredients are, this is not your bar, but at least the protein seems to be mostly high quality. 23/35.
  • Taste: I love these, but they're not quite a Snickers. They are an incredibly imitation, but they distinctly lack the veiny texture most people associate with Snickers. The caramel feels real and gooey. 29/35.
  • Overall: 73

Snickers Hi-Protein Peanut Butter USA

  • Price: Same as the regular, 11/15.
  • Fullness Factor: These are slightly more filling than the others, but still fall behind their macros 10/15.
  • Nutrition: This is even worse with 20P/250Cals and a whopping 7g of saturated fat and 9g of sugar alcohols. 22/35.
  • Taste: The real peanuts are a nice touch, and this honestly more closely resembles a real Snickers to me than the original. 30/25.
  • Overall: 73

Snickers Hi-Protein Brownie

  • Price: As with the Grenade, it's hard for me to really fairly appraise these, since getting them in the US is very hard. But even where you can get it, it doesn't tend to run cheap. 9/15.
  • Fullness Factor: For the calories, this was not very filling. 9/15.
  • Nutrition: This again fails the test with 15P/210Cals, but is a bit lower in saturated fat (4.5g). It also has nearly 10g of sugar, making it much higher sugar than most protein bars. However, it does not use artificial sweetners (if you're sensitive to those). Again, the ingredients aren't super clear, but at least the protein is high quality. 21/35.
  • Taste: I liked these a lot. I'm honestly not too familiar with the regular Snickers Peanut Brownie, so I can't judge it on accuracy, but it's still very solid! 30/35.
  • Overall: 69

M&M's Hi Protein Peanut

  • Price: Again, hard to judge, so defaulting to 9/15.
  • Fullness Factor: This was not very filling, considering the calories. It is low fiber and only 51g. 9/15.
  • Nutrition: Again, 15P/210Cals, 3g saturated fat, 12g sugar, no fiber. At least they don't really use artifical sweetners. 21/35.
  • Taste: These are truly divine. They use real M&M's, except regular milk chocolate ones, and have a layer of peanuts to the side. I actually really liked this, but it didn't quite scratch the PB itch. The bar itself was a little chewy and bland. 30/35.

Mars Hi-Protein Salted Caramel

  • Price: Defaulting to 9/15.
  • Fullness Factor: Once again, definitely not the most filling considering the calories. It is low fiber and only 59g, including like 10g sugar. 10/15
  • Nutrition: 209Cals/20P! And it's high quality! But basically no fiber, and they use real sugar instead of sugar alcohols. 26/35.
  • Taste: WTF. This is a candy bar. The texture - the flavor - everything. 35/35.
  • Overall: 80
