General Thoughts

I love favorite day brand stuff, and this is no exception. These tend to be a bit higher in calorie than typical diet ice creams, but well-worth it. They aren't the most scoopable (a bit hard to scoop), but they are divinely delicious. Overall I am definitely a fan of the brand.

Price

These tend to run a little cheaper at ~$4.5/pint, but are also less likely to be on sale/clearance. 11/15.

Fullness Factor

These are pretty filling, and it makes sense given the higher protein and fiber content. Similar to Enlightened, this tends to be balanced out by a higher calorie content 12/15.

Flavors

Chocolate Peanut Butter

  • Nutrition: This is a little high calorie for my liking (350), but it's high protein (24g), high-ish fiber (15g), low added sugar (3g), and low saturated fat (6g). Even the sugar alcohols, though still a lot, are modest compared to some diet ice creams (18g). Bonus points for choosing erythritol and monk fruit as their sweetners of choice. 30/35.
  • Taste: Divine. Like Canadian Halo Top's Peanut Butter Cup with a rich chocolate base. This scratches my chocolate and peanut butter itch perfectly, and it has generous mix-ins. 33/35.

Cookie Dough

  • Nutrition: This is about the border point beyond which I start to reject ice creams because they're too high calorie. It is much higher in added sugar (12g), lower in fiber (12g), and lower in protein (20g) than Chocolate Peanut Butter. 26/35.
  • Taste: This is delicious. It tastes like there's actual cookie dough mixed in, and they definitely don't skimp on the cookie dough! Like the other one, it's a little hard and definitely takes time to melt, but overall it's much better than most diet ice creams. 31/35.

Mocha Cold Brew

  • Nutrition: More or less the same as Cookie Dough, except with an extra gram of protein and a bit less sugar. 27/35.
  • Taste: This is a very rich coffee flavor, which I love. It's a bit bitter, but the mocha swirls really stand out (and they're quite generous!). 32/35.

Mint Cookies and Cream

  • Nutrition: Not quite as good as Chocolate Peanut Butter, but close! (Less protein, more calories). 29/35.
  • Taste: Very good, very reminiscent of Nick's mint. Definitely richer than your typical mint, and there is a hint of cream, but not quite the cookies n' cream I expected. 31/35.
