General Thoughts

This is a company I love, and because of that I came into this with high hopes. Their ice creams are incredible, and unfortunately, if you're going into this with expectations of a similar performance when it comes to protein bars, they kinda fall flat IMO. Not terrible, just not exceptional (like their ice cream). The macros on some of these just suck for a protein bar, and the price isn't great. Furthermore, they don't use EPG, which is the main technology that allows them to make such tasty ice cream. Overall, I think these are a solid B tier bar.

Price

These run from $2-3 per bar, on average. I've seen them on clearance every now and again. 10/15.

Flavors

Karamell Choklad

  • Fullness Factor: These were pretty filling for their size. At 160 cals, you can't really complain about 50g, and they're high in fiber too! 13/15.
  • Nutrition: These barely fair the test (14P/160Cals), but they're low sugar (2g), high fiber (9g), and moderate saturated fat (6g). The protein is mostly high quality, but the second ingredient in the blend is hydrolyzed collagen. It is erythritol sweetened, and has a whopping 11g of sugar alcohols. It is also keto-friendly if you're into that. 27/35.
  • Taste: Not exceptional, but better than average. Tastes like a typical candy bar, but they nailed the texture. 28/35.
  • Overall: 78

Krispi Nougat

  • Fullness Factor: More or less identical to the Karamell Choklad. 13/15.
  • Nutrition: These are very similar, at 15P/170Cals, 8g fiber, 3g sugar, and 10g sugar alcohols. 27/35.
  • Taste: I liked these a little better, but again nothing to write home about. 29/35.
  • Overall: 79

Choklad Peanot

  • Fullness Factor: Now that the calories are racking up, I feel compelled to dock some points. These are only 50g and they're honestly quite small (and easy to eat quickly) - this will leave you considerably less full than a Kirkland or Quest with the same calories. 10/15.
  • Nutrition: Identical to the above except 40 more calories (15P/190Cals, 6 fiber, 10g sugar alcohols) 25/35.
  • Taste: Honestly, this one by far had the best texture. It felt identical to eating a candy bar. The taste was midly artificial, though I loved how they used real peanuts. 31/35.
  • Overall: 76
